  • PURPOSE

    Azolla Hydrogen is an Alberta-based provider of low-emission hydrogen production equipment. With secured contracts in Canada, and an established US entity, we are expanding our market presence and seeking a Product Commercialization Manager to drive product adoption, market expansion, and technology refinement. 

    Reporting directly to the CEO, the Product Commercialization Manager will play a critical role in bridging engineering, manufacturing, and market demands to accelerate the adoption of Azolla’s hydrogen production technology. This position requires a dynamic, self-starter who thrives in a small team, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to position Azolla for long term success in both Canada and the US. 

    KEY RESPONSIBIILITIES

    • Market Development & Strategy 

    • Identify and assess commercial opportunities in Canada and the US 

    • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including partnerships and direct sales efforts 

    • Research and analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning 

    • Sales & Business Development 

    • Cultivate relationships with municipalities, industrial customers, and strategic partners 

    • Support contract negotiations, proposal development, and deal structuring 

    • Assist in securing additional commercial agreements beyond current Canadian contracts 

    • Product & Technical Commercialization 

    • Work closely with engineering and manufacturing team to align product design with market demands 

    • Gather customer feedback and market insights to refine product specifications 

    • Support product testing, validation, and deployment in commercial environments 

    • Regulatory & Industry Navigation 

    • Monitor relevant industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements 

    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance and optimize market positioning 

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Experienced in Commercialization & Business Growth: You have a background in bringing new technologies to market, ideally within the clean energy, hydrogen, or industrial manufacturing sectors and you have a business growth mindset. 

    • Technically Savvy: You are comfortable working with technical teams to translate customer needs into product improvements. 

    • Relationship-Driven: You have a proven track record of building strategic partnerships and managing key stakeholder relationships. 

    • Adaptable & Hands-On: You thrive in a fast-paced, small-team environment where flexibility and collaboration are key. 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5+ years of experience in commercialization, product management, business development, or related roles. 

    • Industry experience in clean energy, hydrogen, industrial equipment, or advanced manufacturing is highly desirable. 

    • Strong ability to navigate technical and engineering teams while keeping a market-focused perspective. 

    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. 

    • Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies for industrial or energy technologies. 

    • Willingness to travel within Canada and the US as needed

  • PURPOSE

    Azolla Hydrogen is an Alberta-based provider of low-emission hydrogen production equipment. As part of our commitment to a cleaner energy future, we are commissioning on-site hydrogen production and dispensing units in Alberta and across North America. We’re looking for a skilled Site Operator in Winnipeg to support day-to-day equipment operations and hydrogen dispensing at our second operational site. 

    The Site Operator will be the on-site lead for overseeing the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Azolla’s hydrogen production and dispensing system. This role requires a hands-on individual with strong mechanical aptitude, working knowledge of pressure systems, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and safety. The Site Operator will work closely with and report to our Calgary-based Project Manager to monitor performance, ensure compliance, and support safe fuel delivery. 

    KEY RESPONSIBIILITIES

    • Oversee daily operation of the hydrogen production and dispensing system during site hours (9am-5pm, Mon-Fri), and provide fueling outside of these hours on an as-needed basis. 

    • Conduct hydrogen dispensing operations in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. 

    • Perform regular inspections, monitor system parameters (i.e. pressure, temperature, flow rates), and document performance data. 

    • Conduct routine preventative maintenance and assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and control system issues. 

    • Ensure adherence to Alberta Safety Codes Act, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, SAE J2601/5 and site-specific operational procedures. 

    • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to support issue resolutions and continuous improvement as required. 

    • Maintain site cleanliness, security, and general operational readiness. 

    • Respond to and report and operational anomalies, safety incidents, or near misses immediately and according to Azolla’s safety program requirements. 

    • Maintain any requested site record keeping related to dispensing operations as required by Azolla administration. 

    • Participate in training, commissioning, or new procedures as systems evolve. 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Mechanical aptitude and experience with industrial or process equipment 

    • Familiarity with pressure systems, control valves, regulators, and thermal expansion behavior 

    • Working knowledge of ASME pressure vessel standards, piping systems, and Alberta Safety Codes 

    • Education or certification in a related trade or technical program is preferred (i.e. Power Engineering, Instrumentation, Millwright) 

    • ABSA-recognized training or prior work in pressure equipment environments considered a strong asset 

    • Experience with gas handling or hazardous materials is beneficial 

    • Comfortable working independently and making judgement calls based on operating conditions 

    • Strong attention to detail, safety-first mindset, and solid communication skills 

    • Ability to use digital tools for logging data, reporting issues, and maintaining checklists
